Welcome to Malone Elementary School!

2012-13 is a special year at Malone Elementary School. We are celebrating our 50th year! Malone first opened its doors in the fall of 1963 to roughly 250 students. This fall it will house between 580 and 600 students on a daily basis. Look for some celebration activities as the school year moves along.

We are currently in our third year of having six portable classrooms. While the portables are not a perfect solution, they continue to relieve some of the strains in the classrooms while the community continues to work on developing an acceptable long range plan to deal with the overcrowding.

2012-13 will also see another boost in technology at Malone. Ipad and wireless technology will find their way into the building. Teachers are receiving an upgrade to their desk computers along with a conversion to the "Windows 7" system. An additional COW (computers on wheels) Lab is also being added. Other changes this fall include the purchasing of a new math series along with the addition of a few parking stalls.
