PHS Staying in Hybrid Until November 24, the end of Trimester 1. At that time we will be assessing whether a return to 100% of students on-site five days a week is a feasibility, or if we will continue in the Hybrid Model during Trimester 2. Read more here.
September 16, 2020 - To Prescott MIDDLE School Families and Students:
Today at 2:00 PM Wisconsin’s Department of Health Services released their weekly COVID-19 burden rate (Burden is the total number of cases per 100,000 Wisconsin residents in the last two weeks). As a district, we have committed to assessing the burden rate for Pierce County on a weekly basis and make necessary programming shifts for the overall well-being of students and staff.

September 11, 2020 - To Prescott HIGH School Families and Students:
At approximately 4:00pm this afternoon (9/11/20) Prescott High School learned from a parent report (which was confirmed at 6:20 pm by Pierce County Public Health) that a second student at the high school has tested positive for COVID-19. Due to these circumstances, Prescott High School will be shifting to a Hybrid Model next week starting Tuesday. Monday will be a non-instructional day for students as our teachers prepare for this shift. Starting Tuesday we will have the Red Group (last names A-L) on-site, while Blue Group (last names M-Z) will stay home and login virtually. Please read the attached letter for more information. PHS will be in the Hybrid Model for at least 15 school days to provide adequate time for quarantining and to drive down community spread of COVID.

On August 19th, the Prescott School Board voted to add additional measures to our Return to Learn plan for the district with largest of these being the possibility of a hybrid instructional model, in which only half of the student body would come to school on Tuesday and Wednesday, and the other half of the student-body would come to school on Thursday and Friday.
The decision to shift to this model of education will be based on certain metrics taken both internally and from the county level only if needed.

Today's update is sent to provide more specific detail about where and when face coverings will be required. This step is taken in concert with social distancing, increased hand washing, and cleaning practices that will be in place to reduce the risk of COVID-19 contagion. The use of Face Coverings is a critical part of the puzzle to ensure we can stay open and remain on campus for as long as possible this academic year. This step is essential to protect staff, students, and our families. These plans will also be available on our web site as we continue to place the most recent information in an ever-changing environment. Specific questions can be directed to your building principal or to my office.

Prescott School District is also offering a ramp-up to the school year on Monday, August 31st at all four schools, and 4K implementing the new busing routes (Country only and new route #s). We look forward to seeing everyone safely on-site again. We are planning a spirited day for all to re-acclimate and engage all our learners. Please save the date.

As each family continues to examine its options please know PSD is here to support you through re-opening with on-campus learning this fall, as well as supporting those that will require an Off-Campus Learning option. Look for an early August Survey to help us capture your family's intentions so we can better tailor our on-campus and off-campus assistance to meet the needs of our Prescott Community.

On July 15th the Prescott Administration shared our District-wide plan for re-opening Prescott School District for the fall of 2020. This meeting is available for viewing under our School Board location with agendas and minutes. The plans included here outline each developmental level and the steps we are taking to minimize and reduce COVID-19 contagion where and when possible. The plans here are our Return To Learn summaries for each school for you to review. We will continue to post this information on our Website and provide updates as we are in an ever changing environment.
