The School District of Prescott is committed to providing special education and related services to all students, ages 3 - 21, with identified disabilities living within the school district or attending through open enrollment. A student with a disability is defined as one who both has an impairment (according to Wisconsin state criteria) and demonstrates a need for services. Special education services are provided to students with the following disabilities, and each has specific criteria identified by state/federal law.

A student who qualifies for special education services under any of the areas above may require specialized instruction and related services. The following services may be provided if a student's IEP team agrees they are needed for the student to receive a Free Appropriate Public Education.

If you have concerns about your child’s progress, please contact your child’s teacher, school counselor, or the student services office. We will discuss your concerns, review available data on your child’s progress, and discuss potential future options, including the possibility of an evaluation for possible special education services.
