Activity Summary
Traveling Softball (5th – 8th Grades)
- Registration takes place in November & December.
- All teams compete in the Tri County Fastpitch League: a competitive community based league that encompasses teams/communities from across the Twin Cities metro area and parts of Western Wisconsin. This league offers leveled play at all age groups; A, B, and C for 4th/5th/6th Graders (10u & 12U) and A and B for 7th and 8th Graders (14u). Travel time is generally less than 45 minutes.
- Teams are split by age; 10U (4th & 5th grades), 12U (5th and 6th grades) and 14U (7th and 8th grades). Player skill evaluations will be held in September/October to determine team rosters. The number of teams per age level will be determined based on the total number of sign ups
- 10Us (4th/5th grades)
- Practices start in April. Practice dates will vary depending upon field availability.
- There is a season ending tournament the last weekend in June
- Approximately ½ of each team’s games will be home.
- Games are generally on Tuesdays and Thursdays starting mid May and going through the end of June.
- 12Us (5th/6th grades)
- Practices start in April. Practice dates will vary depending upon field availability.
- Games are generally on Mondays and/or Wednesdays starting the first week in May and going through the end of June.
- Approximately ½ of each team’s games will be home.
- There is a season ending tournament the last weekend in June.
- 14Us (7th/8th grades)
- Practices start in May. Practice dates will vary depending upon field availability.
- Games are generally on Tuesdays and/or Thursdays starting late May and going through the early part of July.
- Approximately ½ of each team’s games will be home.
- There is a season ending tournament the second weekend in July.
In-House Softball (1st – 4th Grades)
- Registration takes place in early January.
- Players are assigned teams based on grade
- Kindergarten and 1st grade are combined
- 2nd and 3rd grade are combined
- Games/practices are on Monday and Wednesday nights at the Malone fields.
- Practices begin in early April and end late May.
- 3rd grade has the option to extend their season to play in competitive weekend tournaments. That registration must be done before March 1st to ensure a team spot
