Activity Summary

In-House Volleyball (3rd – 6th Grades)

• Registration takes place in early September.
• Meets on Wednesday nights starting in mid September through mid October.
• Emphasizes skill development and fundamentals (there are no games, just practices)
• There is a clinic on the first night with the HS coaching staff and players

Fall Traveling Volleyball (5th & 6th Grades)

• Registration takes place June.
• Teams are split by grade. Grades with 16+ players will be evaluated and split into two equal teams to maximize playing time.
• All teams participate in the Mizuno Northern Lights Juniors Fall League based out of the Midwest Volleyball Warehouse in Burnsville, MN. At this point, the league is only open to girls.
• Practices start in late August and the season runs through the end of October.
• Teams play in six league weekend play dates on Sunday beginning the middle of September. (2 matches each date)
• All games/matches are held at the Midwest Volleyball Warehouse in Burnsville, MN.
• Practice dates and times will vary.
• This is a competitive league so participants are expected to commit to attending most, if not all, play dates and practices.

Spring Traveling Volleyball (4th, 7th, & 8th Grades)

• Registration takes place in early January.
• Teams are split by grade. Grades with 16+ players will be evaluated and split into two equal teams to maximize playing time.
• All teams participate in the Wisconsin Independent Volleyball League: a community based league that encompasses teams/communities from across Western Wisconsin. At this point, the league is only open to girls.
• Visit the GNBL Volleyball League website.
• Practices start in early March and the season runs through mid May.
• Teams play in 3-5 Saturday tournaments (3-4 matches each) in surrounding communities. (exception 4th grade – see below)
• Practice days will vary.
• Important Note: 4th Grade teams will use this year to focus on developing the basic fundamentals and will therefore focus more on practice and less on tournaments. The 4th grade teams will only play in 1-2 tournaments towards the end of the season. Thus, the reduced registration fee.
