Testing
The Mission of the School District of Prescott is to prepare people to lead fulfilling and productive lives in our society. The primary commitment is to their positive development and to enable them to have a successful experience every day.
We are committed to a well-rounded education for our students with a focus on creating learning opportunities that prepare all student to be college and career ready. As a measure of that preparedness and ongoing monitoring, the Prescott School District utilizes a balanced assessment approach within our Response to Intervention framework for all students. This systematic approach uses multiple measures to determine student current skill levels, the effectiveness of curriculum and instructional practices, and response to additional support. No one measure can determine the experience of our students and therefore our tools will include universal screening, progress monitoring, and summative assessments.
If you have a student at Malone Elementary & Intermediate:
- 4K-2: Reading Readiness (Phonological Awareness and Letter Sounds): FastBridge Learning
- K-5: Screening & Progress Monitoring in reading and math: FastBridge Learning
- 4&5 SEL Screening: FastBridge Learning
- 3-5: Wisconsin Forward Exam: covering English Language Arts and math in grades 3-5, and social studies and science in grade 4.
If you have a child at the Prescott Middle School:
- 6-8: Screening & Progress Monitoring in reading and math: FastBridge Learning
- 6-8 SEL Screening: FastBridge Learning
- 6-8: Wisconsin Forward Exam: covering English Language Arts and math in grades 6-8, and social studies and science in grade 8.
If you have a child at the Prescott High School:
- 9-10: PreACT test in English, Reading, Math, Science, and Writing.
- 10: Wisconsin Forward Exam in social studies
- 11: ACT plus Writing
- Open to all students: Advanced Placement (AP) testing in May
