2023 Summer Classroom Driver Education
Classes will be at the Prescott High School, (rooms to be determined at a later date)
Drivers Education classroom will be equivalent to three weeks of summer school. The fee for Behind The Wheel and classroom portion is $280.00. When students begin the class, $280.00 will be added to their Infinite Campus account. If paying by check or cash, you will need to pay the high school office directly, instructors do not collect fees. The driver's education fee can be made in payments if needed, but must be arranged with the high school office the first two days of classroom training.
During the classroom session, instructors will review the driver education criteria and hand out the MV3001 form which allows students to obtain their permit. Each student will fill out the form and return it to their instructor. The MV3001 form will be held in the front office until the student is eligible to go for their permit. Students will need to ask the office for their form when they are ready to get their permit.
Students will be provided the opportunity to take the Knowledge and Signs Test at the end of each course. If students choose not to take the test at the high school, or fail, they will then need to take these tests at a Wisconsin DMV office. This will not save a trip to the DMV but students will no longer need to take the Knowledge and Signs Tests. Students will still be required to take the Vision Test.
If special assistance is needed with tests, please contact the DMV as we are not able to provide any additional services.
